After some great sucess on my local River Medway my mate Danny and I decided to do some exploring of some different rivers. We ended up travelling miles following the river mole through Leatherhead and Cobham. The river has many strectches that hold good quality Barbel to high doubles and the Mole is know for its monster Perch. This was the main target and I wanted to find a stretch that could hold a few of these specimens and achieve my goal of a 4lb river Perch. Eventually we found a strectch that was on a booking ticket and it offered some great looking swims with potential. We did fish the river to get a feel for the water and blanked but this was expected. I will be back with a different approach to target the Perch.
